【注】开发程度最低、风景最为壮观的棕榈岛位于非洲大陆架和北大西洋地壳的边缘，属于凶狗群岛(Canaries)中最活跃的裂隙火山岛屿。2021年9月至12月，其老峰山脊西南侧发生强烈喷发，产生大量的熔岩流、熔岩喷泉和火山灰云，前后持续了约85天，由此造就了崎岖的地形和肥沃的土壤，创制出农业繁荣的独特环境。
