【注】西班牙开发程度最低、风景却最为壮观的岛屿——棕榈岛，静静地坐落在非洲大陆架与北大西洋地壳的交汇边缘，是加那利“凶狗”群岛(Canaries)中最活跃的裂隙火山岛屿。2021年9月至12月，其昆布雷·维耶哈“老峰”山脊西南侧发生强烈喷发，喷涌出大量熔岩流、熔岩喷泉与火山灰云，这场喷发前后持续约85天，重塑了岛屿的地貌——崎岖的地形中孕育出肥沃的土壤，也为农业繁荣创造了独特的生态环境。
