【注】走进中央公园正门，向右拐入著名的人造池塘，只见水气氤氳，好像身临世外桃源，这时白鹭、鸳鸯、黑冠夜鹭、双冠鸬鹚等常居水禽从我眼前身后次第穿过掩映在茂盛树木间的岩石山丘，春风拂上藤蔓石拱桥，更让“池塘生春草，园柳变鸣禽”。

都说语言的尽头是音乐而诗歌的尽头是绘画，眼前这片方寸宝地的景致竟朦胧得几乎无法用语言和诗歌来统摄，虽然距离热闹的第五大道只有几步之遥，但却宛若闲雅的音乐又看似淡逸的绘画，是纽约城“落笔如歌歌如画，画眉如黛黛如诗”的人间仙境。
