   本冊字典經多次反復系統整理校核，统计收录了迄今为止經典甲骨文字典已被公开论证解读的甲骨文原字約1900字。這些甲骨文字主要源自於徐中舒先生主編的《甲骨文字典》和劉興隆先生縮編的《新編甲骨文字典》，也參考了劉釗先生所編的《新甲骨文編》，具有階段性的公衆普遍認可性和同一性，定名爲《Practical Oracle Dictionary of Chinese Jia-Gu-Wen (I)》 to sumrize the current Jia-Gu-Wen study.。
