Wei Liu: Education in Communist China Is Slavery

                                   Wei Liu, U. S. citizen, U. S. veteran, October 2025

I was born in Chongqing, China in the 1970s. When I was several years old, I saw people in China is classified into four classes, Young Pioneer from 6 to 15 years old, Youth League Member from 15 to 25 years old, Communist Party Member from 18 years old onward. The fourth class are those without any organization, being discriminated the most. Youth League Member is regarded as more advanced than Young Pioneer; Communist Party Member is regarded as the most advanced among all the people. I feel uneasy and unsafe in such a society where there is no equality at all.

To join each organization has the cost, like offering free labor, bribe, personal favor to the leader. For example, one wants to join Youth League, one needs to have good relationship with Class Director, the teacher being in charge of student behavior of a class. A middle school class has 40 or 50 students. From one’s 6 years old, Communist installs unequal system in elementary school, then middle school, high school, university. In PhD programs in China is the same, where PhDs with Communist Party Membership has the chance to hold important position, higher pay than those PhDs without Communist Party Membership.

In a middle school, high school class 12 to 18 years old, a class with about 40 students, there are 20ish so-called class cadres. A classroom has about 8 columns, 6 rows, the 8 students on the 1st row is called Team Leader, its role is to collecting the paper homework of its column to the Subject Representative every morning. So a class has 8 Team Leaders. Then each subject has its Subject Representative. For example, math subject has Math Representative, a student who is good at math in class. Chemistry subject or class has Chemistry Representative, a student who is good at chemistry in class. The Subject Representative collects the paper homework of the class to the teacher and distribute the paper homework from the teacher to the class. In middle school, high school in China, the subjects taught in class include Chinese, math, chemistry, physics, geography, history, politics, English, biology, physical education, total 10 subjects. So each class has 10 Subject Representatives.

Then a class has one Young Pioneer Representative for elementary school, middle school, age 6 to 15; and one Youth League Representative age 15 to 25 in high school and university. This is so called Communist Party System. A class has also its own Class Representative, including Class Chair, Vice Class Chair, Labor Representative, Study Representative, Culture Representative, all students. Labor Representative is in charge of cleaning the classroom after school. Every day after school around 5:15 pm, a column of 8 students cleans the classroom, which takes about 20 minutes, with two procedures, sweeping the floor with broom, mopping the floor with wet mop. I don’t know why classroom looks so dirty every day. I do not leave any trash, all my paper staying in my bag. But some classmates are fond of making a mess. Study Representative, a student with good score, usually does nothing to help classmates learning. That is a feature of Communist Country, often has something looking good, but does nothing good, or actually doing the damage. Culture Representative is often a girl good at singing.

So the total student cadre in a Team Leaders + 10 Subject Representative + 1 Party System Representative + 5 Class Representative = 24. How can a minor, under 18, who does not undertake legal responsibility, to be in charge of others? It is the Communist Party from young age installing such Slavery System among people.

In China from elementary school to university, there is Morning Exercise about 10 minutes every day. Every student goes to the playground to do body movement by the broadcasting from the loud speaker. How can those with desire to lose weight and those with desire to gain weight do the same body movement? We students are ordered to do so over 10 years and I don’t see this help me or any of my classmates in any way. This is basically another way Chinese Communist install Slavery among people. In America, I learn it costs money for one to know what body movement one should do. That is to go to the hospital or clinic. By paying about 150 U. S. dollars, the doctor can teach you one body movement, with that movement/exercise lasting about one minute. And it truly helps me. In America, from elementary school to university, there is no Morning Exercise at all. People in America have the right sense of health: to learn body movement for oneself, one take money to see a doctor.

In sum, the major goal of education in Communist China is to install slavery among people, which is evil. In the 1990s, I escaped from Communist China and came in America for freedom and democracy. The main prayer of Christian states: But deliver us from evil. I believe to each individual Christian, evil should have its substantial meaning. It can be a bad person, a bad place, a bad idea or a bad habit like smoking. To me, the evil is Communist China. I left there in the 1990s and I do not, will not go to Communist China in my lifetime; I do not, will not mention any academic achievement including transcript in any school from Communist China.

        The end
